Description

In honor of the 50th Anniversary of Philippines-Japan Diplomatic Relations in 2006, the Philippine Embassy organized Jack Salud’s Pointillism Painting Exhibition from June 12-15, 2006, at the Tokyo City View Observation Deck of Mori Tower in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo. “Jewels in the Air,” a painting from the personal collection of former Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador Domingo L. Siazon, Jr., was among the exhibited artworks. On January 27, 2017, in the presence of the late Ambassador’s wife and family, the painting was donated to the Embassy during an Inaugural Ceremony renaming the Embassy’s Multi-Purpose Hall as “Siazon Hall.” This renaming was in recognition of the late Ambassador’s significant contributions as Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Philippine Ambassador to Japan.
