The painting was made by Mr. Jess Abaya in 1988 in celebration of the Philippine Centennial. A Filipino-Canadian marching band, the Philippine Heritage Band, which has possession of the painting, donated the painting on 12 March 2021 to the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto in line with the 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations of the Philippines. |
