Description

The same piece symbolizes our own journey as people – the curves and rise and fall of the canvas represent our history, filled with stories of struggles and victories. The “pawikans” represent our culture and identity as people – fragile and malleable, bearing the marks of our colonizers as well as present influences and always at risk of being eclipsed by modernity and technology. The feathers are us and how we have the responsibility to ensure that the heritage of our ancestors are preserved and ushered through generations for every Juan to discover and enjoy.
