Description

The painting depicts an OFW entering or is welcomed in the (homes of) Middle eastern land. Written in the Philippine Ancient writing system, Baybayin (also known as Alibata which originally believed to have derived from Arabic letters, there are similarities). The painted arabian door is found in Asir region and other parts of Saudi, old wooden and mud houses from the past are adorned with geometric designs. The door is the entrance to one’s home and the Filipino (straw hat-salakot and red scarf depicting Juan DelaCruz, a national personification of Philippines) about to enter and is welcomed in.
