Description

The image is a watercolor painting depicting the Massachusetts street scene in between the old and new chancery buildings. The painting is framed and shows a beautiful representation of Embassy row where the Philippine Embassy is located. There are multiple elements in the scene, including buildings, trees, and a golden-domed building. One part of the painting focuses on a building located in the center of the image. This building has an uncommon dome, the rounded roof of the Embassy breaking the boring straight edges of the skyline, which stands out against the surrounding scenery. The building is depicted with great detail and has doors that are visible. A tree is positioned in front of this building, adding to the overall charm of the scene. To the right of the central building, there is another building depicted. This building is also well-detailed featuring the original red bricks of the old chancery since 1941, and is situated across the street. It gives a sense of depth and contributes to the overall street scene. A street view is visible, adding realism to the painting. Unknown to many, the Daniel Webster Memorial park is right across both the main and old chanceries. It is depicted here by the trees and foliage found in the lower left corner of the painting.
