Description

Samuel Peñaso’s artworks blend childhood nostalgia with urban complexity, reflecting his rural upbringing and city life. His artistic journey began humbly while supporting his education at the Technological University of the Philippines through silk screen printing, which later evolved into a defining element of his expression – serigraphy.

In his piece “Toyscape,” bold-colored animals contrast with intricate grids of neon lines and letters, sparking contemplation of tangible and symbolic “toys.” Peñaso’s art bridges past and present, rural simplicity and urban intricacy, inviting viewers into a world of vibrant storytelling within concise visual narratives.
