The artwork is a collaboration between professional artist Norlito Meimban and Filipino art enthusiasts based in Vienna. The concept behind the piece is to represent various aspects of the Filipino identity as seen from the eyes of each contributor and tied together by Mr. Meimban. In depicting contrasting styles and ideas that ultimately blend together as one, the artwork attempts to convey the narrative that the Filipino psyche is shaped and strengthened by our diversity as a nation. In a nutshell, the Filipino whole is greater than the sum of its multicultural parts. |
