Description

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Philippines-Japan Diplomatic Relations in 2006, the Philippine Embassy organized Jack Salud’s Pointillism Painting Exhibition on 12-15 June 2006 at the Tokyo City View Observation Deck of Mori Tower in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo. “A Paradise for the Two” which was one of the personal collections of former Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador Domingo L. Siazon, Jr. was among the paintings exhibited on this occasion. On 27 January 2017 in the presence of the wife and family of the late Ambassador, the painting was donated to the Embassy in an Inaugural Ceremony naming the Embassy’s Multi-Purpose Hall as “Siazon Hall” in recognition of the late Ambassador’s great contribution as Secretary of the Foreign Affairs and Philippine Ambassador to Japan.
