Fil-Estilo Artists Group is composed of Filipino visual artists based all over Guangdong Province in southern China. The Consulate General accepted the gracious offer and unveiled the artwork during the inauguration ceremony of the new office on 9 May 2023. Entitled “Buklod ng Lahing Pilipino”, the large triptych depicted the enchanting beauty and rich diversity of the various tourist spots, values and cultural heritage in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The piece is also considered a testament to the bayanihan spirit of all Filipinos living and working in Guangdong as they join the Consulate General in building a new official home in southern China. Measuring 600 x 160cm, the triptych now occupies the reception lobby of the Consulate General to the delight and admiration of guests and visitors alike. |
