A collection of artworks donated by various Filipino artists to the Philippine Embassy in Rabat, Morocco on the occasion of the re-opening of the Embassy last 2021. This artwork by Dale Bagtas, a Filipino artist based in Bulacan, Philippines, is an example of contemporary abstract art that showcases the artist’s use of a dazzling array of colors, swirls, and shapes to evoke emotions from its viewers and provide a different perspective on wonders of nature in the Philippines. Mr. Bagtas also uses different objects such as shells that provide the art with a tactile aspect which allows the art to be appreciated even by visually-impaired individuals. As part of the art collection in the Philippine Embassy, it reminds viewers of the natural beauty present in the Philippines. These artworks were donated mostly by artists from Batangas, the home province of the Ambassador. While there is no particular theme or genre of the artworks displayed at the Embassy, these are meant to highlight the creativity of Filipino visual artists and at the same time give a Filipiniana touch to the chancery. |
